RACC-IT inaugural event
On December 7th we are organising our first ever physical event in Bucharest for the RACC-IT chapter. This event markes the beginning an exciting journey where we aspire to create a vibrant community around RACC’s values, dedicated to empowering Romanian IT companies to thrive in the US market.
2024
RACC-IT expands its international reach
In 2024, RACC-IT organized a series of events and webinars across Bucharest and London, addressing key topics such as AI, cybersecurity, fintech, and digital transformation.
The year featured Transatlantic Tech Dialogues, industry-focused meetups, and expert discussions on regulatory and market trends.
A strong presence in London marked an important step in connecting Romanian IT companies with the UK ecosystem.
Through these initiatives, RACC-IT strengthened its role as a platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and international expansion.
2025
RACC-IT deepens global engagement and leadership dialogue
In 2025, RACC-IT expanded its global footprint with events across Bucharest, London, New York City, Austin, and Cluj-Napoca.
The agenda focused on AI, cybersecurity, SaaS, and next-generation infrastructure, alongside leadership and innovation workshops.
Key themes included NIS2 compliance, agentic automation, healthcare innovation, and scaling high-growth tech companies.
RACC-IT created direct pathways for Romanian tech companies to engage with investors, partners, and industry leaders, accelerating their access to opportunities in the US and UK markets.

Formation of RACC
The formation of the Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce (the “RACC™”) in February 1990 marked an early milestone in the course of Romania’s emergence from beneath the cloud of Nicolae Ceausescu’s brutal brand of communism.
OCTOBER 1990
RACC held its first event
On October 4, 1990 RACC held a breakfast for President Ion Iliescu with forty US business leaders at the Metropolitan Club in New York. This event was followed in November 1990 with a two-day RACC Conference on Privatization held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bucharest. Led by Mark Meyer, senior representatives of Republic National Bank, Hill & Knowlton, Delloite & Touche, Colgate-Palmolive and Credit Commercial de France, as well as leaders from the New York City Council.
